Hiking at "EL CAMINO DE SANTIAGO"
It was a normal evening with friends. We ordered food and we wanted to see a movie. But the movie we chose (THE WAY by Emilio Etsevez), brought so many thoughts in our minds, that we started planning our next trip.
To tell you the truth, it was not the easiest plan, because we had to go for more than a month, we had to have enough money and the most difficult, we had to tell our bosses, that we will not go to work for a month! These reasons are more than enough, to make you change your mind. So did my friend, who would be my partner at this journey.
Then it was my turn to decide. Alone in a foreign place, without language and friends, or my beautiful every day life with friends in my country? ..it took me some time to decide and the answer was, to leave my comfort zone and run into the new adventure!
The next step was "pen and paper". I made a research and i wrote down all the equipment i would need, how would i go there and how much money i would need. Then i made a plan to save the money i would need and i set the date for one year later.
And before i even started the trip, i realised how many changes in my life, can bring a decision of letting my comfort zone, making me more focused and organisational.
The date was near and a new idea came into my head. I bought a camera and i said to myself, that i had to record some moments of the journey and i should make a small video to have as a memory.
So i did and after watching it a lot of times, came the need to share these emotions with you!
Have fun,Panagiotis Papaioannou.
